These Foods Help to Stop Sugar Cravings and Turn On Your Fat Burning Switch

These are my favorite foods that I use with clients all the time to help them burn fat, build muscle and slow down the aging process. By using these regularly and avoiding the 5 Hidden Sources, you will begin to reduce cravings, burn fat and improve your energy levels.







  1. Coconut

The medium chain fats in coconut help to rev up the metabolism by boosting thyroid function. The thyroid plays a very important role in metabolism, fat burning & fat distribution.

It also stabilizes blood sugar by enhancing cellular insulin sensitivity. Using coconut oil and coconut fats throughout the day will help kick sugar cravings, improve your energy and speed up fat burning.







  1. Lemon & Lime

Lemon & lime contain citric acid, potassium, vitamin C & vitamin P. These unique nutrients provide a powerful bioelectrical approach that charges up energy levels, alkalizes the body, enhances liver detoxification and reduces inflammation.

Using lemon & lime in your water and on your food throughout the day will also help balance your blood sugar, reduce cravings and improve your ability to burn fat.







  1. Avocado

This fruit is loaded with very good fats that enhance cell membrane activity, balance hormones and speed up metabolism. This is also one of nature’s richest sources of potassium which helps remove excess water and cellulite from the body.

Try to consume an avocado every day in the form of guacamole or sliced up on salads or healthy meats. You can also put it in a low-sugar smoothie to add more good fats and powerful anti-oxidants.







  1. Grass-Fed, Pasture-Raised Meat

These meat sources are extremely rich in Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). CLA is a powerful metabolic fuel that enhances glucose sensitivity.

CLA is known to improve the ability of fatty acids to enter the muscle and connective tissue cell membranes where they can be burned for fat.

They are also a rich source of amino acids, fat soluble nutrients and vitamin B12 which are critical for banishing cellulite, improving lean body tissue and increasing energy levels.







  1. Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds are a rich source of magnesium, B vitamins and zinc that help to balance hormones and stoke our metabolism. Additionally, they are a great fat source full of small chain omega-3’s and fibers that help to stabilize our blood sugar, cut the cravings and turn on our fat burning switch.

Sprouted pumpkin seeds are one of my favorite snack foods and they provide a mega-dose of key nutrients to help improve my energy levels and mental clarity.
