Breakfast Cereals Containing Monsanto’s GMO Corn

Reasonable caution over a common food ingredient which scientists have now linked to cancer and premature death.

Most of the cereals most likely to contain GMO corn are children’s cereals. It is the children who are being fed the most GMOs.

70 percent of females died premature and showed significant damage to their liver and kidneys.

Glyphosate, the ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup, is linked to the development of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Considering EWG’s standard of 160 parts per billion (ppb), many products exceeded that limit (400 ppb.)

250 million pounds of glyphosate are sprayed on crops each year.

Glyphosate is sprayed on wheat, oats, barley and beans, right before harvest. Why? To dry them out so that they can be harvested sooner. The concern about glyphosate is for long-term exposure. A single portion would not cause deleterious effects but eating oatmeal every day that’s when such amounts of glyphosate might pose harm.

To avoid increased exposure to cancer-causing chemicals like glyphosate, choose organic.

If you buy breakfast cereal, and you don’t want to eat Monsanto’s GMO corn, always choose cereals from Nature’s Path.
